1) What cookies and similar tools are
"Cookies" are small text files that websites send to the user’s device, where they are stored and then sent back to the same sites upon subsequent visits. The term also includes SDKs, pixels, local storage, fingerprinting and similar technologies.
2) Types
- Technical (necessary) cookies: ensure the site works (session, load balancing, privacy preferences). No consent required; information is always due.
- Functionality cookies: optional; require consent if not strictly necessary.
- Analytics cookies: if first-party or third-party but rendered potentially non-identifying (e.g., IP masking, aggregation, no combinations/interconnections and limited retention), they may be treated as technical without consent; otherwise consent is required.
- Profiling/marketing cookies: create profiles to send messages in line with preferences. Consent required.
3) Legal basis
Necessary technical cookies: the Controller’s legitimate interest in securely delivering the service.
Non-anonymized analytics / marketing / third parties: user consent via banner and preference center.
Analytics configured as technical: legitimate interest, under the conditions and safeguards above.
4) Consent management — Banner and Preferences
- Prior blocking of non-technical cookies until the user makes a choice.
- Banner with: brief notice; link to Cookie Policy; equally prominent buttons Accept all / Reject all / Customize; no cookie wall (unless an equivalent alternative access is offered).
- No scrolling or implicit actions as consent.
- Preference center with granular categories (Necessary — always active; Functionality; Analytics; Marketing) and description per category/vendor.
- Proof of consent (logs) and typical consent duration of 6 months unless otherwise documented; banner is re-displayed in case of significant changes or when the user deletes cookies.

6) Third parties and transfers outside the EEA
Some vendors (e.g., Google, Meta, LinkedIn) may also process data in countries outside the EEA. In such cases:
- where available, reliance is placed on adequacy decisions (e.g., the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework for certified entities in the USA);
- alternatively, SCCs and supplementary measures (encryption, pseudonymization, minimization, data residency) are applied, as recommended by the EDPB;
- links to third-party notices/opt-out are provided in the Preference Center.
7) How to change preferences
You can reopen the Preference Center at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer or via the dedicated icon.
8) Disabling via browser
You can configure your browser to refuse/limit cookies. Disabling technical cookies may impair some site features.
9) Updates
The list of cookies and vendors is reviewed at least every 6 months or following technical changes. The date at the top of this document indicates the last update.
